For around 4 months I had taken a hiatus from vegan activism as a whole, because like many other activists there comes a point when you need to take a break from focusing on depressing issues. But I’ve come to a point where I feel ready to create more animal rights themed art again and dip my feet back into street activism.
Since I’ve started drawing again, I’ve noticed a change in my style compared to when I made animal rights images in the past. My style has become more sophisticated and less child like, which is really how it started out but in between I experimented with many different styles which it turned out weren’t really for me.
These are two of my latest illustrations, the first about liberating animals from places such as factory farms and testing facilities and the ethics behind such actions. The second illustration symbolises morality as an angel, holding the dead body of an animal who has only known pain and suffering in their short lifetime. By making these images I wanted to encourage people to think about the victims of their choices.
